There are some cool new things going on at eLearning.net, starting with our new enterprise-level learning consulting services! I started this company more than a decade ago to provide eLearning and other content development services to help our customers deliver learning programs to their customers that engage the learner and achieve objectives. We have grown and advanced with the learning industry, as the technology has moved from things like Authorware developed content delivered on CD-ROM, to today’s micro-learning xAPI-developed course snipets running on smart phones.
We’ve had a lot of fun and have learned much from our customers and partners over the years. One key learning I’ve had is that our clients not only want visually engaging, eye-popping content that keeps their learners interested and involved while they absorb the content in the modules we develop, but they also want the learning & talent services they provide to help enable their organizations to achieve their company strategy and objectives. That’s the big picture and how learning shows its true value to the larger organization.
To that end, we have added new talent to the eLearning.net team with the knowledge and experience to deliver strategic consulting services to our customers. Steve Jensen has joined eLearning.net as Chief Learning Officer to lead our Consulting Services division. Steve is an influential executive leader with over 25 years of high profile organizational development and learning experience utilizing leading edge Human Capital Management technologies. He’s excelled in executive roles in both fast paced, high-growth corporate environments and as an external consultant, working with both mid-size and large global companies.
Steve is a former Chief Learning Officer and Talent Management leader for Republic Services, a 33,000+ employee Fortune 100 company, delivering tangible results in learning strategies, competency models, career pathing and succession planning, change management, and has deep expertise in talent and leadership development at all employee levels, including senior executives. Steve also led learning at a transportation division of Amazon.com, has served on a top industry Chief Learning & Talent Officers Board of Directors, and brings a grounded, realistic practitioner’s approach to strategic client interventions and projects.
So what will Steve’s role at eLeaning.net entail, and why should you care? Well, he will leverage his experience “walking in the shoes” of our customers to deliver a set of strategic consulting services that will compliment the many eLearning Services we have become known for. Check out the next blog article from Steve Jensen, where he explains in more detail how we will strengthen the relationships we have with our customers with an enhanced set of tools and services that will help Learning and Talent functions add even greater value, and most importantly business results, to their organizations.
